Humanize Me 206: In quest of of better conversations with Jared Seide

Bart talks with former Hollywood jack-of-all-trades turned super-cool master facilitator Jared Seide about Council, an age-old practice that involves bringing people together in a circle for candid and heartfelt conversations. Participants speak one-at-a-time, sharing their personal stories and experiences, rather than opinions, and listen intently while others do the same. Sharing and listening to universal stories about love, loss, fear, and hope enables participants to recognize that, despite their many differences, they have much in common.

Spoiler alert: Bart thinks this stuff might be useful to secular humanists wanting a better way to relate to their supernaturalist friends and relatives. The Center for Council website is HERE. The podcast ends with some great music by Carsie Blanton; check out her stuff over HERE.

So whatever you do, do not search Facebook for “Humanize Me“, because you may (or may not) find others from this community at such a hypothetical place.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
